The Acting Buffet (the new class we started for beginning actors) is a HUGE hit. I am ecstatic! We’re offering it again in April-May and have a few spots left, so if you know anyone who might want to take the class, please feel free to forward them the information below.
Following are some highlights from a letter I received from one of the actors in the Acting Buffet a couple days ago. You’ll note that he, like me, prefers somewhat . . . colorful . . . speech, so you might not want to forward this letter to kids. Jill's class is very motivating. She has the energy of... I don't even know.... something super. Her personality is . . . extremely giving and open with such compassion for both acting and actors... and some kind of sixth sense about humanity. Jill has pushed me to find moments in scenes I never fucking saw. She also got me to bring the best parts of my rehearsal during the performance. I love being MOTIVATED. Heather is wonderful. She helped me develop a whole new meditation to channel a more vulnerable side to myself. AWESOME! Bruce Lee: "Fighting without fighting." Lesly Kahn: "Acting without Acting." Bob is the best. He worked individually with us to tailor each of our voices to our specific needs. It's not stupid to do all the "stupid" little things"- Bob. BRILLIANT. Kristof was one of the most fascinating people I have come across so far. His Alexander theory was flawless. I wrote down everything he said. I was so hooked, I felt like if even one drop of his info was lost it would be a catastrophe. Jason. I am so F I N G happy about this. Consistently my headshots are flawed by bad hair days. One -because I am not a stylist, and two - because I have yet to find someone who can help me put together my look. He can. I can't wait. RGFD (Really good fucking deal). Todd was the most fun you can have in an acting class. Really being able to freely explore what acting is, the rawness of it. The games are my favorite part. STIMULATING. I'm pretty antsy to study your style of acting. I am really looking forward to next month. I can't get enough. The Acting Buffet is everything a beginning actor in LA needs in order to hit the ground running and start his or her LA acting career out on the right foot. The Acting Buffet contains everything beginning actors need into one painless (and fun!) package. It meets twice a week for eight weeks.
